Adding to why the CTA "chose" to run the ads in their train cars (or anywhere else) is that the CTA doesn't sell ads. They've contracted with Titan Media to sell ads. I think this is the CTA's best interest as the contractor is more motivated than the CTA to ensure all available ad space on CTA vehicles is sold, thus maximizing revenue for both organizations.

Wasn't the video game ad denial in some recent lawsuit, either in Chicago or elsewhere in the country?

"<i>It’s remarkable that the CTA chose to run those ads in their train cars.</i>"

CTA's advertising policy restricts alcohol, tobacco, vulgar and offensive content, and certain video game ads. CTA lost a lawsuit in the 80s when they refused an ad from Planned Parenthood, so they're not likely to vary much from the written policy

I would have liked to attend the I-Go party, but 'tis the season of too many errands and parties and not enough time. I appreciate I-Go, because it allows us to live car-lite in a neighborhood where that's a little more challenging. Sounds like I missed a fun time.
